Blog Thursday, Sick Ward Edition

Keep your distance!

Ah, what a fun week it's been at the Weirhaus. Dad was the first to get hit with a bug, then two nights later Mom was hit with a entirely different virus and the next morning poor Elliot was throwing up. At one point all three of us were sick. Dad recovered from his cold but now has picked up the other one. Mom's still on the mend. Elliot appears to be fine and is probably wondering why Mom and Dad are being so sluggish.
Don't worry, this blog entry doesn't chronicle Elliot's first cold. Instead we look back to happier times, when Elliot allowed us to use him as a billboard for our preferred presidential candidate.

And now some photos from Election Night! Here's the derby trio, reunited for the big evening. Other than Elliot's Obama onesie, you can't really tell it was an election night gathering from this photo.

At least you catch a glimpse of the official Election 2008 Backyard Projection Screen in this shot.

Humor me as I swerve off topic for a moment, because construction (during a torrential evening rain storm no less) of the official Election 2008 Backyard Projection Screen was something Dad was quite proud of, even though the election night weather was horrible and most people chose to watch the returns on our modest indoor tv.

Elliot was fast asleep by the time the election was called for President-Elect Obama, but here are some more photos anyway. Maybe revisiting the elation will ward off future colds.

WAIT!! THERE'S MORE! I just realized that ONCE AGAIN there were no photos of mom here. I was going to hang onto the following photos for a separate post, because they're just so darn cute, but here are Elliot and mom at his graduation from the mom group they had been going to since he was a newborn.
