We Aren't Cutting Elliot's Hair... So What Now?

Oh, Hello. You may have noticed that I've taken a needed break from this blog, and a lot has happened in that time (surgery, soapbox derby, Elliot's first steps, the people's official vote for us to NOT cut E's hair, etc.), so you'd think this post would cover some of that, right? Nope, sorry. Instead, we're going to check in on Elliot's new favorite hobby: hanging out in small spaces.

Like pots, for example..

and oversized canvas bags

(this was at a symphony concert at Laurelhurst Park, and it's E's Uncle Grant's bag)
(oh, and that's the official program)

or the Mother Pluckers derby car (taken just before their first run down the mountain)

or Elliot's favorite place of all, the laundry basket.
(here's Elliot subconsciously conjuring up his imminent surgery)

The laundry basket's great. He's content enough hanging out in it that everyone else can take naps as needed.

and finally some raw video for all you completists and obsessives out there:

I love the idea of "hanging out in small spaces"! I think this must be the age when I had a large cardboard box in the family room for the kids and they were thrilled to go and sit inside!! I must say that pots and laundry baskets are much more creative! He looks like the king of his universe - very happy!

Awww, I miss this kid so much!!! I LOVE the picture where he is showing off the program from Grant's canvas bag! :) I need to plan another trip up to see him soon! :) I feel like the proudest, happiest aunt in the world! He is truly the cutest, most precious and expressive little boy that I have ever known! I am so proud to be one of his aunts! :)
