Elliot and Pals

We've known for a while that we're part of a statewide baby boom, and Elliot's already proven to have no shortage of people his own size (roughly) to play with. We're obviously using the loosest possible definition of 'play' here, but the point is that babies seem to somehow get even cuter when you arrange them in groups. There must be some scientific principle behind this?

Some context for the out-of-towners: Sharon has been part of a team that has competed in the Portland Adult Soapbox Derby for the past two years (link to official race site). Their team probably makes for a nice cross sample of the above-mentioned baby boom, as four team members have had kids in the last 14 months.

I probably also should have identified Debra, who is standing directly behind Lauren in this photo, since she was pregnant when this photo was taken. It shouldn't be long before Elias, who was born in March 2007, makes an appearance here.

This photo shoot really drove home how tiny Elliot was at first. Charlie is on the left, and Evan (who was 9lb 4.7oz at birth) plays the role of Truckasaurus in the center.
